Hi Everyone,
I hope the Year of the Ox is spectacular thus far for everyone. I have some things in the works but all of them are at the early stages so there is nothing that I can divulge at this point. Naturally, I would love to do another record soon but it might take awhile. That sort of thing happens for me in fits and spurts. There are a few other things that are happening as well but at this point, I would like them to be no more than rumor.
Having nothing to do with anything, I have gone gaga over the BBC series Life on Mars which I got on DVD at my local DVD stall here in Shanghai. Any show that features Atomic Rooster on the soundtrack gets my total thumbs up.
Oh, what have I been reading you ask? I finished Steinbeck's East of Eden not long ago and it is definitely one of those life changers. Steinbeck, for me, has always been a bit of a yawn. I read Of Mice and Men years ago and was somewhat underwhelmed by it. However, I read Tortilla Flats a year ago and loved it. It really had a Beat feel to it before the Beats were Beats. Thus I felt inclined to read East of Eden. Now I need to see the film version, the version with James Dean, again.
If you are up for some contemporary Chinese lit, try Ha Jin Waiting or check out the book of short stories about Tibet by Ma Jian Stick out your Tongue.
If I have a New Year's resolution, I think the resolution is to keep everyone more up to date on my life.

I am coming back to the States for the summer even though I was just there less than 2 months ago - modern technology, weird.
In support of my new record KITCHENS AND BATHROOMS - and just for the heck of it - I will be playing a handful of shows.

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my site! I know this has been a long time coming and all of that. So far, I have gotten really positive responses from all of you. Thank YOU! I hope that this site will change somewhat frequently and I would love anyone who has photos to post them (photos involving me, that is!)
I know some of you are wondering about how to get ahold of some of the rare material such as Defenestration. I DO want to make that music available. At the moment, I am trying to figure out the best way to make it available and to make it sonically pleasing too.
In the not too distant future, I would like to release it with extensive liner notes and rare photos and all of that sort of business.
And, I hope to release a retrospective of my recorded work. I hope to make that happen in the fall.
